SOFT POWER: Understanding Through Culture and Practical Ethnology
This site is dedicated to promotion of mutual respect and understanding between nations based upon knowledge and appreciation of national cultures, ethnic traditions, diverse sensibilities viewed through the lens of cultural, ethnographic, ethnological analysis.It is designed to offer forum to non-standard, original, contrarian, provocative views on national cultures, issues of ethnicity, nationality, ethnic and national conflict or misunderstanding, on inter-cultural and inter-ethnic relations and paths to peaceful and productive co-existence and understanding.
Due to our special academic expertise and large amount of field work done in the Former Soviet Union, Russia, Baltic Republics, Central, Eastern, Southern Europe and Caucasus this page has special focus on the outlined region. However information and analysis regarding any other region or country are invited.
